Sitting here in tears over dd's school report

...because it's so lovely. Particularly the bit where the maths teacher says that her positive attitude, especially when she has been suffering with pain, has been an example to us all.

You know that feeling when...finally somebody's noticed! She's had chronic pain for 4 years, she has always done her best at school and nobody's ever said anything before.

He is a lovely, lovely man! What can I get him for a really nice end of the year present?

(Her class teacher has been lovely too, so that's two nice presents.) And not a single snide comment about her attendance record- in previous years the headteacher has always seen to that.

What a lovely teacher. DD must be so chuffed, it will boost her confidence no end!
No idea about the present. But I would probably get her to do something personal for him.

That's nice to hear, isn't it? There are some fab teachers out there, unfortunately not as many as we'd like.

I have just found out that in my son's new class (yr 3) there will be two boys with Aspergers. One I was expecting but the other one has been kicked out of private school because of behavioural problems and has a 30 hour statement.

I am all for inclusion but a bit taken aback, what should we expect?
