oh im so with dd,s nursery.

we went to look round her school again on tuesday, this time the teachers were speaking to parents (last time they just played with the children), so i asked had the nursery been in touch re dd,s SN.

NO she said, what SN does she have?

i told her hemiparesis, she has a medical condition with her bowels and is still in nappies (her eyes were wide) and the consultant camhs psych wants to come in in sept as part of the asessment for ASD (eyes very wide at this point), no she said no phonecall, letter, nothing, she looked extremely shocked.

the headteacher had joined at this point and was listening very intently.

weds morning senco pulls us "i have been trying to contact the school for 3 weeks, they are not answering their phone"

yesterday head of nursery phoned to say the school has been on the phone and wants a meeting next friday.

today senco pulls dh "erm we havent gone through dd,s records with you, shall we do it at the meeting next week" dh said yes ok, senco writing it down on her clipboard.

OMG, they would have actually let her start school without arranging anything???????????

i am SO glad nursery finishes on 17th.

hope the school gave them what for.

rant over now!

i know i was so angry.
they have consistently ignored our views, her paed and cos they won the tribunal obviously are deciding to still ignore her and not even bother telling her school.

next week will prob be a load of rubbish as well on how she doesnt have significant SN, and my answer to that will be well tell that to the numerous professionals involved in her care then.

makes you wonder what the pre-school inclusion/early years type services actually do, doesn't it. It's really very unsatisfactory - as the nursery deals with kids with language problems, you would think they would be used to filling in the next schools on the position with the kids.

well apparantly the senco is qualified to dx the presence or non-presence of an ASD, not only that she,s an expert on bowel conditions, asthma, eczema, cerebral palsy etc etc.(she doesnt have CP you know cos she can walk and climb)

i think she,s in the wrong job, she should apply for the consultant paed at the local CDC.

im going to need a very very large bottle of wine on friday night to destress but the good news is this is the last time we should have anything to do with the witch.
