Occupational Therapy Questionnaire for Dyspraxia

We had a letter from OT today saying that DS2 has been referred by the paediatrician and that he has been placed on the waiting list and they will contact us closer to receiving an appointment, wonder how long that will be!
Attached to the letter was a questionnaire with a list of activities and asking us to circle the ones that DS has problems with. Until I did this I didn't realise how many things he does have problems with, how is it I hadn't noticed it
DS is only 4 but these are what we circled on the list:-
running
jumping
walking
hopping
throwing and catching a ball
kicking a ball
climbing steps and stairs
dancing
making things
drawing and painting
cutting and sticking
toileting
dressing and undressing
eating and drinking
pouring a drink
opening packets of sweets and crisps
writing
circle time
sitting still

I know other 4yr olds would need help with some of these and other things we didn't circle because we didn't feel that he should be doing them at his age but it still seems a long list.

He has verbal dyspraxia too and is now receiving speech therapy, I just hope he hasn't got a really long wait for OT.

I had to wait about 3-4 months for my OT,(I'm also dyspraxic) however that was partly because my referral form had been sent not only to the wrong dept but also the wrong hospital.

I hope your little one doesn't have to wait so long. if you don't hear within a month I'd call and chase it up, just to be sure that your letter doesn't go on a NHS hospital tour as mine did.
