Following on from the other night when i managed to get all the boys to eat bolegnaise - by basically pulping the whole sause in my processor-so it resembled slurry!!!!

well today i 'wondered what else i could create in the same manner'

They watch Sponge Bog...who makes 'Crabby Patties' so i decided to make 'Beefy Patties'

And just wait to you see what i used!!!

Into my processor i put.....

Minced Steak
Small onion
carrots
parsnips
cauliflower
Drained tin of tomatoes
2 CHICKEN oxo cubes (beef are too strong flavour for the boys)
And herbs

All whizzed up tp resemble the most disgusting looking slop possible.

Then placed in dollops on a baking tray and partly through cooking- squashed with a spatula- like spongebob does!

Served with the obligatory baked beans.

And ds1 & 2 ate it- and ds1 asked for more (which is just as well as the mixture ended up making nearly 50 small patties!!!!)

Ds2 even renamed them as 'MEAT-eorites'

Ds3...the BEST eater out my 3 refused to even chew the bit he bit off....he'd much rather have all the veg 'visable' on his plate with slices of roast beef- than patties.

So...me thinks....what else can i 'slurry in a hurry'...and get away with it.

Wow mum23 you seem to be having some kind of breakthrough week! Perhaps Bacon Slurry will be the new Chunky Chips!

Hehehe - this thread has made me laugh - because 'slurry in a hurry' is EXACTLY what DS2 eats.
Shepherds pie
Sausage meat patties with whizzed up veg (+ quinoa and/or chickpeas)
Fish cakes with whizzed up veg
Chickpea slurry (aka hummus)

As long as the slurry is in pie or burger or dip form and is more or less brown or cream in colour he'll eat pretty much anything

Flames...no i'm in Wiltshire (not far from dorset...but nearer Bath!!!)

Sphil...and there was me thinking i was the 'Inventor of Slurry'!!!!
