Lynseyxx · 06/03/2026 16:56

I have did a form for my son, I've had a letter saying they want me and his dads passport and asking on an
Extra form when he arrived in the UK. All I can think of is I have ticked the wrong box on something 🤦‍♀️ will they be able to sort this over the phone if I ring them? Don't wanna wait ages to get through then it can't be sorted xx

Perthesmum · 08/03/2026 08:02

My MR SC was 5/9/2025 and still no decision yet, first applied in May 2025 got declined 12 weeks later so sent MR 5/9/2025 and nothing so far.

I have sent xray reports, occ health reports, school risk assessments, consultant letters, proof of blue badge and proof of approved disabled facilities grant for home adaptations, care diary- all for the MR review .. if they decline again I will be lost for words!

I contacted the MP who also wrote to them on my behalf and still not even an update from DWP. Crazy.

Hi, I did a coc for mobility under SMI and VUW it was a 6 months wait I was declined. The school wrote out a report for me explaining how my child needs constant 1-1 support is unable to yo stay In the main classroom as he gets distressed easily and will react physically towards staff and other peers. They explained how his never been on a school trip due to no danger awareness. He has to spend time with just his 1-1 in a specialused unit to stay regulated.
Yet the reasoning for decline was he was able to listen to a fire drill practice with the support of his 1-1 on a rare occasion
I've send in laste evidence was told this can be looked at within 30 days

I was sent my renewnal forms in January and am sending them tomorrow I’m so stressed I’ve left it so long both my kids Dla are due to end at the very end of may I’m worried I’ve left it to late, any news how long renewals are taking and are people sending in the same medical reports because I am doing along with more that I’ve gotten over the past year I hope it’s ok to provide the same again I have no idea 🤷🏼‍♀️

We had asked for mandatory consideration in July 2025, we contacted them, I am shocked they said it hasn't been assigned to case worker yet despite 9 months waiting, this system is total joke. Upon contacting them each time, there was no empathy or any escalation so that our claim can be processed faster.

Kra94 · 26/03/2026 16:23

Hey everyone, sorry to jump on the post , I've tried to post on the Facebook page numerous times but for some reason my post keeps getting declined 🤦.
I'm just looking for some advice really
I had my son's tribunal hearing on Monday and he was awarded low rate care only. I was told by the judge that they could only accept from the original claim which was 2024, which is fair enough, however in March he was diagnosed with ADHD, autism and developmental language disorder.
I went private and received a 39 page full report from the clinical psychologist, occupational therapist speech and language therapist with so many recommendations for school to help his significant needs, my question is, because my new evidence of his diagnosis , prescription for his sleep a week diary of his increasing care needs, Sen plan and just basically a lot of evidence of where we are at now , am I right in thinking that I can put in a change of circumstances and send off all this new evidence again that was ignored by tribunal as it's recent?I assumed the diagnosis would have counted towards his needs in 2024 as they're conditions that he was born with but apparently not,
Any advice would be appreciated x

Was your scan date in July, or was that when you were declined? I’m just checking as my child new claim was June 2025, declined August 2025 and then MR submitted 9th September.

When I called them last week, they told me they were working through the second week of September. I called again yesterday (at 29 weeks) and asked to speak to someone more senior. They then said they are currently on the first week of September and that my child’s claim should be done by next week at the latest.

I would definitely recommend calling them, raising a complaint, and also contacting your local MP—they can help push the process along for you.

Hey have you heard anything from the MR? Just checking as your a few days in front of my child’s

alwaysabattle3 · 01/04/2026 18:33

Ok, so has anyone any experience on renewals.. went to tribunal for a rate change and won (took 19 months in end), then at renewal a few months later they change it back to original rate. Frustrated doesn't cover it.

No I submitted MR in January she got awarded in December but the form was 11 days late so they didn’t give me no backdate. I have now had this backdated money.

Lynseyxx · 03/04/2026 12:26

Hello can anyone help. I did a MR for my daughter this was approved and changed the claim I now received the backdated amount from the first day which was around 12 weeks. Anyways UC her claim was from after the 12 weeks can I ask them to pay the child disability element from the same time as her Dla has now been awarded from? Or don’t they change it?

Ask for it to be backdated from the date u have been awarded from (which will be on ur letter) if u haven’t done it already lol and explain to them that you have only just been awarded and that’s why it’s late it will go to the decision maker and if they haven’t sorted it after 4 weeks tell them you want it escalating and it should get done quick x

No I had already had an award. So I already had the child element on UC but that’s from December she’s now been awarded from September so I was wondering if they would backdate the further two months she’s missed x
