Mid rate care is for frequent help &/or constant supervision during the day, prolonged &/or repeated help during the night, prolonged or frequent supervision at night (or someone to help when on dialysis). High rate care is for help or supervision throughout both day and night - you have to satisfy one of the day criteria and one of the night criteria I mentioned in my previous sentence (or claims under the special rules).

For night needs that means you either need to show DD requires prolonged (typically considered 20mins+) or repeated (typically means 2+) support with bodily functions during the night or someone needs to be awake for a prolonged period or at frequent intervals (typically considered more than twice) to watch over her to prevent harm. Night time is typically classed as 11pm-7am.

DLA claims are based on the majority of the time. If DD meets the criteria above 4/5 days out of 7, then the criteria are satisfied. And all are looked at in the context of support in excess of what is expected for typical peers the same age.

my dd needs a lot of extra care throughout the day so im not to concerned with that part i was just wondering on what night cares qualify for middle and high becouse everything i read more or less indicates 7 nights a week so am i reading right to say becouse its the majority of the week it could possibly go to high

Yes, it is based on the majority of the time, so if DD meets the day and night criteria 4/5 days a week then she meets the criteria for HRC. However, that doesn’t 100% guarantee it will be awarded - you may have to appeal.
