Yet again I can't find the thread we started! Shall we meet up again? How about Feb 4th or 18th as a suggestion to get the ball rolling?

Dh can't get that day off as he's already using up a week's holiday for ds2's assessment next week.

Yep. Ds2 saw the Paed in November and he gave him a preliminary dx of ASD. Next week is the full multi-disciplinary assessment. Eeek!

I'm half-thinking "Yippeeee! We've got an assessment!" and half-thinking "Oh b*gger!" He's doing pretty well at the moment so I'm hoping that they'll see that it's because of all the stuff we've been doing with him rather than how he is naturally IYKWIM. Our portage worker thinks they'll see that it's not instinctive behaviour so I'm hoping she's right.

Yeah...back to the 'do we help him so he is happy...but risk 'masking the issue'...or do we let him suffer so that it's all obvious!'
we are still going through that process with L...he wrote in his spelling book the other day (the spelling was TOTALLY..)

BReaks my heart.
If he wrote that I think he is disgusting...then the school wiould be on my back immediately.... however no one bats an eyelid when it's school that is the prob!
(starting a PROPER home link book monday.... i will MAKE them comment....in writing...EVIDENCE!!!!)

the paed is on about trying some medication for him...and i am worried that we will mask the issue...vicious circle!! (to suffer or not to suffer - that is the question)

TC - sorry you can't come - was hoping for more stories about Lottie and expecially your recent trip - sounds fab. I'll try to CAT you closer to the lunch - can't give it away this soon.

I'll be thinking of you CT next week - I remember the assessments well - always a stressful time.

So who's all coming then? And we are at Royal Academy again right?

So who is coming? It is Pizza Express in Charlotte St. I can get there 11am and stay until 2.30pm if anyone else is there at either of those times.

I'm really hoping to get there, but we have a really busy weekend and I'm calling in all the babysitting favours. Could I bring ds2 (17months - what do you think?) I'd prefer to come without him, but might be too tricky.

would love to come - miss Pizza Express but it is just too far to travel.. will let you know when I am next in town and maybe we can have a get together then.... perhaps about 2010 the rate we are going - sooo expensive..
