DLA how to word violence?

DD8 is autistic and occasionally violent. It's not all the time, but I've been bitten this week (drew blood through jeans) and scratched. I'd say the scratching is most weeks (draws blood). DS always has scratches from her on him. We have to be vigilant to try to keep her regulated and avoid this. I feel like it impacts us a lot having to be 'on alert' to potential dysregulation. She has chewellery to redirect to and lots of other strategies for regulation. School have never seen this behaviour, so it won't be mentioned in their section (although they are aware she scratched DS at school when they both attended the same school, and actually sought him out to do so). My question is how to word this to demonstrate the additional care it requires. Thank you.

Explain what supervision is needed, steps you take to prevent escalation, steps needed to deescalate situations, frequency, amount of time…

I would use words like aggression, physically challenging, keeping safe, harm, escalating. It’s so hard to write it down, but you are doing your best for him. Be brave and give yourself some space to recover even if it’s only a walk to the end of the garden with a cup of tea.

You can use challenging behaviour resulting in physical harm to others/ self harm.

Could I send a photo of my injuries?
