Hi looking for a bit of advice while I await a call back from my childs paediatric so my child is 10years old he has asd, adhd, gdd, and is non vebal he is very hyperactive and wouldn't sit for long periods at a time but anyway we where out in the car the other day and parked up and cars was going past really fast and it looked like he went to focus on something or moving lorry and both his eyes shakes really fast side to side for a couple of seconds we'll they didn't shake all way across to each Connor they where like in the middle and shaked if that makes since now I have never saw that I freaked out and loomed it up and so much came up I rung his paediatric 2days ago and it can take them some time to get back so when we went home I got him to follow some object with his eyes while keeping his head still then turning his head getting him to look right etc and there was nothing so I thought right couldn't be nystagmus then we went to fun fair last night and while on one of the fast rides he was was all excited and happy then went to focus on something on the ground and it happened again for a second or 2 it was very fast then he was ok like I said I looked it up but then nystagmus was coming up but then I saw something to do with saccades and does sound like that to would anyone know what that would sound like as ovd am worrying here

I only have experience of epilepsy but my ds’s eyes do that pre seizure. He too is triggered by the sort of movement you discribe.

@Ohthatsabitshit I don't think he has any type of epilepsy as it is just like he is trying to focus on a fast moving car or out car window or when on ride he see something and try to focus but it's to fast if that makes since but it lasts a few seconds and when I called his name on rode he turned his head my other child has focal sezuires and is on medication and he does act normal afterwards or doesn't go into any type of sezuire activity

That’s what ds’s are like. The fact you have another child with epilepsy and the fact he has a dx of ASD make it statistically more likely (though obviously could be a coincidence). I think I’d ask the question if only to be told “don’t listen to randoms on the internet this is something very different “.
