Okay so when DD1 was a very small baby and toddler she often did this side eye glancing thing. I definitely found it funny at first, we would joke and say she's giving us the side eye but then I noticed she was doing it a lot unprompted it definitely caught my attention. Had her eyes checked and everything fine and she gradually stopped.
Then I was sent a videos and photos of myself from when I was younger maybe 6 years old and I'm doing the exact same thing with my eyes. I've read this is often a stim or a kind of sensory processing thing related to autism. Has anyone else seen this or heard of it?
To this day I cannot make eye contact with people. I find it physically uncomfortable and will avoid at all costs.
