When do you know you need to take them out of school?

My daughter is 11. She has ASD and inattentive ADHD and has just started High School. It has been AWFUL.
She is so sad, crying every evening and morning that she doesn't want to go but has managed to go in and stay all day. She is hating it. The way the uniform feels, how busy it is, other children being mean. The sendco is being great but so far the adaptations are not helping.
It's been 3 days. It's obviously too soon to make any decisions but it's horrendous. It's got me thinking - how long do we leave it before deciding we need to do something else? Half a term? A term? A year?
How bad do things have to get?
Just wondered what others thoughts and experiences are who have considered or have removed children from a school because of unhappiness and it not being the right fit.

My children who have ASD are only in primary school yet but have already decided they won't be attending High School, they struggle in Primary. You know your daughter best and their is never a right or wrong time for you to pull her out of school if you feel it's necessary. My daughter only does half days in Primary because of her struggles.
What do you think about half days at High School?

I don’t think there is one right answer to when is the right time to say DC isn’t able to attend school. It will depend on individual circumstances.

Once that point is reached, I wouldn’t deregister and electively home educate. The LA has a duty to ensure compulsory school age DC unable to attend school still receive a suitable full-time education.

What I would do now is a) speak to the SENCO again because they should be making adjustments/providing support that will help, and b) request an EHCNA if DD doesn’t already have an EHCP.
