just hoping someone can give me advice

my daughter who is 4 is currently getting referred / havign therapy for possible autism spectrum, anyway i am finding at the minute she is not eating right.

last 2 nights she has ate no tea, seems like she doesnt like certain textures in her mouth, cant get her to eat vegetables or potatoes unless in stew or chipped, and even then she wouldnt eat them last night.

she eats plenty of fruit, but at the minute her diet is consisting of breakfast cereal, then some toast maybe an apple, lunch sandwich of some discription, no tea and then i try and get her to eat toast to fill her up at bed time.

any ideas??

As my loverly paed told me...
'Give up worrying now, You'll have bigger problems'
Ds lives on a diet of dry, crunchy things., mostly carbs.
A normal diet went out of the window at 2 and ½ years old.

It tooks a while for Ds to try anything new, used to be full meltdown if even offered but now will try even if he doesn't eat it.

You could take the advice my paed gave me. If they are happy, healthy, not tired, loosing weight rapidly etc , then try not to worry too much.

she would have some snacks inbetween maybe yoghurt packet of quavers, and some more fruit and liquids but no real good grub?

ok thanks, well she always complains of being tired, however she is going for blood tests in may to rule out fragile x.

one of the few nice HVs I've ever encountered took the view that as DS wasn't skinny and ate some protein,I shouldn't worry too much . I would just do what you can, try and maybe introduce the odd new thing in a gradual no pressure way.

Tiredness could be anemaia. I have to go on iron tablets about twice a year.

I'm no help ATM as Ds is not eating properly after being sick but he's bouncing off the walls as usual. I swear he could be ADHD!
