Panel meeting after paediatrician appointment

My little boy was seen by a paediatrician approx 11 weeks ago and she agreed that she thought he was autistic and said he would be discussed at panel and hopefully get a diagnosis. I was just wondering (I know every single area will have different wait times) how long you waited in between being referred to panel and panel actually happening. Thanks!

My DD 3years 7 months is about to have her first paediatrician appointment, she has been referred for signs of being neurodivergent, please could you tell me what the first appointment is like and what happens next? I really need things put in place with her, she is by far my hardest child and I feel like there just no help out there for parents dealing with multiple neurological children

So at our appointment with the paediatrician it started with her just watching my son play for a few minutes and trying to interact with him and then she asked me lots of questions about him. He’s non verbal so she asked things like has he ever used words etc. We spoke about his sleep, food, interactions with others, things that upset him, danger awareness and so on. She already had reports from nursery, speech and language and info from the HV. She asked me what my gut feeling was and I said that he is autistic and she agreed that he was showing typical traits. Because we already had enough ‘evidence’ from other professionals we could move forward, if they feel they need more information that can be the first steps. As he was under 4 she said she needed to check higher up if we could proceed to panel or not, which was approved. It’s then a case of waiting for a panel meeting with the team of professionals who have had involvement with your child and they will decide whether to diagnose or not x
