It is lovely that you have tried so hard and done so much research to help your friend's child. We haven't been invited to a 'real' party (i mean with children DS's age) yet but it is nice to know that there are caring people out there.

Thanks Mummy.

Would just like to add that my son hates candles on the cake! He goes into meltdown if there are any.

If onl there were more people like yyou out there.........sigh!!

I don't think it's all ASD kids though as my DS absolutely loves them and one of his best words is now "blow" whenever he sees candles or flames! Asking the mum a good plan!

Hey- we had the party and it was amazing. There were 23 kids in the end by the time siblings were included.

My ds's little friend loved it- he was very nervous at first but he loved the bubbles- he even left his mum and dad to catch some but the biggest were the sandwiches that I had cut (with cookie cutters in an oval shape) and I called them dinosaur eggs. His mum came up to me and was jumping up and down- it was the most he had ever eaten outside of his home

happy days- they all went home xhausted and happy

I wante dto take this opportunity to say thanks for the ideas and for giving me the confidence to host the party- you advice was precious.
