What to tell 5 year old about ASD assessment

My 5 year old (mainstream Reception class, verbal) son has his ASD assessment soon. In my area they’re doing them online - the appointment letter says he needs to be present for the first half an hour of the first appointment, and the hour long appointment later the same day where he may have to be observed playing board games with me. I’m a bit stumped what to tell him about the process, and how much he’s expected to interact online - he’s seen OT this year and I said she would help him with things he struggled with like holding his knife and fork, but I don’t think he’s aware he’s different to others socially etc. He’s also not great at engaging online - quite resistant to FaceTiming relatives for example, will only speak to them on his terms, so any experiences of the online process or advice about what to say regarding assessments in general would be great.

My son had his assessment a few months ago when he was 4. It was in person. He'd seen a speech therapist and a paed before, so I explained that the Dr and the speech therapist would ask him questions and play games with him, like the speech therapist we'd seen before. I may also have said that it was to help with his language, and that he'd get some chocolate when we were done. He didn't really ask too much more.
