DS is seven going on eight, he has ASC and SLCD. He is becoming more independent and wants to put is own seatbelt on, he has some fine motor skills delays so he struggles with this. How can I help him?

These are quite useful - it is just a little silicone thing you slip over the buckle and it holds it in an upright position rather than flopping down. Useful for keeping it more accessible. They are safe to use with booster seats etc. Doesn't need to be specifically this brand. https://www.amazon.co.uk/2-Pack-Seat-Buckle-Holder-Wididi/dp/B06X1DZTKS/

There is a Maxi Cosi high back booster with a light to illuminate the seatbelt too - might be a bit gimmicky but might be useful? Kore Pro, I think.

He refused to put it on at pick up time. His DF and me tried being firm, bribing him, DF even tried showing him with his. In the end a member of staff did it no fuss and he accepted it
