I just bought some Melatonin out of desperation. Last night she was asleep by 8:30 tonight 8:10. Doing happy dance. Before would be a fight everynight and by the time she was finally asleep I would be too stressed out to sleep. Dr / Peads no help at all just said she'd grow out of it! I was at wits end until found article on Melatonin. But was scared 1st that might have side effects so did loads of research before tried it. OMG! Can't understand why nobody told me about it!!

Yes, you can it over the counter, If you have prescription with you. Unless you have to order it from only pharmacy sites. For myself I order it from Pharmacia (pharmica.co.uk)

Yes you can. I used to get it from America but now see it's available in the U.K.

Just a word of warning, that there can be side effects! My DD was prescribed melatonin, and had a very rare side effect of nose bleeds, which now means we're back to square one, with the Paediatrician unwilling to try her on anything else in case it has a similar reaction!

Before the nose bleeds hit, it was working, so I'm not happy that she "decided" to have a reaction to it! Smile
