those threads are doing my head in too...

my good story of the day:

I was sat cuddled up with dd1 before bedtime, giving her a massage. I was gently blowing on her face, and she started laughing, so I did it a bit more.

In between her giggles, she managed to splutter "it's windy"

I was dead chuffed. That's two types of weather now (has been reliably identifying rain for a while)

I started another thread about dd. she has been happy. I gave eher a catelouge and she has chosen new clothes for us all

My ds 3yrs has always repeated back 'love you' when i say it to him and i know deep down he may aswell be saying 'sausages', as it has no meaning to him.
But yesterday we were in Tesco and out of nowhere he said, 'love you mummy', it did come out as 'wo you mummy' but who cares. I stopped in my tracks and asked him what did he say and he said it again!!
I don't care if he did or didn't know what it meant i just never thought i would ever hear him say that without it being an echo from me.

Okay, here's mine:

Today dd1 was playing with one of her toys that says words, makes sounds etc. She pressed a button that made a 'boing' sound and without missing a beat she signed 'jumping'. There was no picture of anyone jumping or anything. she made the connection all by herself.

It was a lovely thread fio, and lost in all the crap! What a star your dd is.
Wow HITC! That's brilliant!

And monkeypie and 2shoes......

What a lovely thing. I bought a Primark £8 dress and wore it to work today. Ds said I was " beautiful. I love your dress"
Just to say, embarrassing, that I have never been on a sn thread before, prior to the Jh thread and I am very sorry that I haven't. Because it has enlightened me. And I enjoyed that. Thank you very much.

I can still picture an easter Fio! You are right it is the little moments-- !
I asked Ds ( hugging a tree at the time -dont ask!)how the trees got watered (it was about to rain) and he said 'weather man'! I'm not sure quite what to make of this comment (have visions of Michael Fish with halo directing clouds!)but it is interesting thought!
