Noise reducing ear plugs for classroom

My daughter is really struggling with the noise and activity levels of her classroom just now. I’m wondering if anyone could recommend a good set of ear plugs, she’s 11 and quite petite so would need ones suitable for kids.

Is there such a thing that can filter out the annoying noises and make it a little easier for her to cope? She doesn’t want to make it obvious that she’s wearing ear defenders, and also needs to be able to hear the teacher obviously.

I’ve seen Flare, but at £20 a pair I’m nervous to try those in case she a. Loses them or B. They don’t actually do much! But if they’re worth it on recommendation, I would be open to getting those. Or any cheaper and easier to replace alternative would be good too?

Thanks in advance!

I was going to suggest flare or loop. I’m not sure you will get cheaper.

Thanks, I think I’ll get the Flares for her to try out 🤞🏻

Hi, I might be a bit too late but I've tried both Flare and Loop ear plugs. My personal experience is below.
Flare - Made it easier to hear the person I was talking to in a crowded or loud enviroment, it didn't really dampen or reduce noise just sort of made it more directioned if that makes sense but i found that I still felt very overwhelmed in loud/echoey enviroments. My sister on the other hand loves them but she is partially deaf in one ear so I think it makes it easier for her to hear.

Loop - For me personally I prefer loop earplugs, I have the Experience Plus, that come with the 'Mute' centres, I use them regularly in loud environments (Busy cafe's, Kids parties, at gigs) and find they really help to reduce noise levels, help me focus on work or even converstaions. I have a pair of the Quiet ones as well for when I just don't want to drown everything out, you can still hear a bit but not alot.
For me a down side to the loop earplugs is I hate the sound of myself eating with them in and talking felt weird with them in as well but for me the positives outway the negatives, they really help me with noise sensitivity.

I absolutely love my Loops, to the point that I get stressed when I can’t find them. I use the Engage ones the most - they just take the edge off the background noise and make it easier to focus. They are comfortable and discreet, and they do a kids range now.

My son has a pair of the Quiet ones (as they were cheaper and I thought he’d lose them). He doesn’t use them much but they are useful to have for noisy cinemas, cafes etc. Both my son and I find ear defenders too tight and uncomfortable. We prefer the combination of Loops and hoodie with a thick hood in noisy places. I second the point about not being able to eat in them - so annoying!

I also vote for loop. I have tried flare and they did nothing and didn't stay in. The loop are great at taking the edge off.

Thanks so much for all your replies, it’s helped a lot, and I haven’t yet bought them so that’s a bonus!
