Hi there, we have a 10 year old with SEN (primary salt/OT/Cognition - maths difficulty and very academically behind across all topics)

They have been offered a place at BH Euston. Our child needs a quiet nurturing environment with support for differentiated learning. I got some feedback from a parent saying that they don’t do this, there are behavioural issues there and children are being mixed with unsuitable peer group. Our child did 3 days there and was happy and so were we however they are a quiet child and often schools prefer kids with no behavioural issues as they slot in.

I also BH have cut the provision even though we have a fully funded LSA.

Abington House said they can support also but my understanding they take children with different issues. I am a bit concerned as to whether SALT would be properly supported. Again seemed nice in visit but my child not doing trial until December.

Any feedback welcome as I appreciate all children are different.

Thank you 😊
