Has anyone heard of Annie Mitchell.
I googled her and found alot of stuff about her, but wondered if anyone had any opinion about her. I have been offered an appointment with her, I have taken it becuase time is short, and well Lynn Frye Associates have a good reputation anyway. I have only heard about David Urani, Linda Miller and Lynne Frye her-self.
Does anyone have any opinions on Annie Mitchell?
TIA

Well, if you don't have a private educational psychologist in my area, you have no chance of getting adequate provision in school. It turns out that up to 20 hours will have to be funded through school via school action+, and the remaining by LEA. To top it all, the local authority are no longer giving diagnoses of autism, and are replacing this with social and communication disorder
So under-diagnose + no statement = saved money. I suppose I ws one of the 'lucky' ones to get a diagnosis of asd!
This is so maddening! I have only just found out this morning, shocking beyond belief!
All those poor children!

Just recognised name.....we used Annie about 3 yrs ago. On the one hand I was pretty annoyed becuase all she seemed to do was write a report that quoted everything I said. Nothing new or particularly helpful but.......her report was useful in that we used it to get many things that we wanted and because it was an ed psych's report (regardless of how sound it was) it carried huge amounts of weight.
