Permanent exclusion for primary child with SEN

My son is in Y2 in a mainstream primary. He has very severe anxiety and significant SPD. Probably ASD but not been diagnosed. We have applied for an EHCNA. He has been suspended from school many times for dangerous and destructive behaviour. What I need to know is this - if the head/govs decide to permanently exclude, how will it happen? Would it only be after a very serious breach of expected behaviours, or could it be after a period of consideration of his behaviour and they decide enough is enough? We have a reintegration meeting this week - can the head permanently exclude at that meeting based on previous behaviours? Thank you

Where are you in the EHCP process? Is the LA sticking to the statutory timescales?

What support is the school providing? Are the suspensions formal with official paperwork? Or informal, unlawful ones?

Permanent exclusions can be for one off serious events or persistent events that aren’t quite so serious. Suspensions can’t be converted to PEX. In exceptional circumstances, usually when there’s more evidence available, a PEX can begin straight after a suspension, but that is in a minority of situations.

Thanks @ThomasWasTortured papers due to go to panel imminently. Yes, LA have been very good (so far) at timekeeping and surprisingly supportive. All exclusions are lawful and documented. I haven’t got issue there (well I have, but you know what I mean..)

I just want to prepare myself really for the reintegration meeting in case the head can/does give a permanent exclusion at that meeting.
