Is this another type of seizure??

Hi there. DS2 has CP & epilepsy - he usually has absence seizures but has had the odd myoclonic and 'drop' seizure. He was in the bath this morning and I noticed that the skin on his right upper arm had gone really blotchy. It was brilliant red contrasting with really white skin. This soon spread up to his face and down to the top of his other arm. He looked a bit like he had measles, but the contrasting white colour of his skin was really white. The water in the bath was not hot, and he was playing as usual. He looked a little spaced out, but spoke normally to me. Could this be another type of seizure or something else? My husband said he noticed it the other night, but DS2 had been crying and was sick. I am now wondering if this is the reason he was sick - he has been sick before after a seizure. I think I am going mad! I am constantly trying to put his little 'oddities' down to something

NO advice for you Nat but sure someone wise will come along soon...i just wanyted to say that I know exactly how you feel about trying to put strange little things down to something. My ds was dx with Infanitle spasms at 5 months and even though he has almost been sf a year I question very little unusual thing.

Someone will be along soon. If you are worried though then contact your neurologist, i often do only to be told that its nothing but Id rather look silly than it be something iyswim!!

dd does this, sometimes one arm will go bright red and hot. She has CP and epilepsy too.
Not heard of this as a seizure but don't really know.
What do your sons absence seizures look like? dd spaces sometimes but always looks round when you click your fingers or call her so we don't think she's having absences but I fret.
She's very dopey today after her Keppra increase. Stupid bloody bad EEG

He stares straight ahead but there's no response from him for a few seconds. They are very difficult to spot actually - unless you are constantly watching him you would miss them.
