Ear defenders for sleep

Hi, does anybody have any recommendations for ear defenders that are comfortable enough to be slept in? My daughter, 9, has ASD and is all of a sudden extremely angered by any creaking/humming/out of the ordinary sounds when laying in bed so I'm wondering if some ear muff/defenders would reduce some of the noise and meltdowns!
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I don't think it's recommended to wear eatrdefenders for that long. Hypersensitivity can occur where the brain re-trains and noises actually seem louder.

Have you tried white/brown/blue noise as a background? Alexa echo dot will do this all night.

Thank you for your reply 🙂I had wondered if the flat fabric winter soft earmuffs that go around the back of the head would help but that makes sense that they probably shouldn't be used all the time.

Yes unfortunately we've always used white noise and I've tried other calming sounds too but she will only have the one same sound and it doesn't seem to help anymore.

Have you tried worry dolls/worry monster? Or a weighted blanket? Or those herbal anxiety drops? Something to relax her enough to get to proper sleep.
