What do you think could be going on?

Hi all, DD is 7. She’s absolutely burning me out at the moment. Below is a list of things I’ve been keeping tabs on, do you think it’s worth asking for any kid of assessment for anything?

  • [ ] Toileting - looks very scared and upset when pooping, won’t use the toilet for poo even with reward charts, books, songs, videos etc. She’s still in nappies for poo.
  • [ ] Getting very upset when on the tube because of the noise so needs ear defenders
  • [ ] Won’t eat meals and preferring to snack - prefers sweet stuff and will steal/get really upset if she can’t have sweet food
  • [ ] Gets easily burnt out when socialising and needs a break after a little while
  • [ ] Obsesses over older sister and never wants to be away from her - gets very angry if she’s away from her.
  • [ ] Struggles with the change from dads house to mums house
  • [ ] Really hyper never sitting still and always on the go, even when on the tablet/watching tv she’s fidgeting
  • [ ] Quite bad meltdowns where she will cry and be inconsolable for ages over small things eg: asking her to get out of the bath
  • [ ] Lashes out when angry with people
  • [ ] Always wants her own way and hates to be told no - gets very angry and lashes out
  • [ ] Doesn’t listen if she’s asked to do something - tidy away her mess etc, she will tantrum like no tomorrow and completely refuse no matter the consequences.
  • [ ] Feels as if she’s younger than a nearly 7 year old
  • [ ] Legs always moving even when asleep
  • [ ] Likes pressure on her feet/legs especially at night
  • [ ] Possible slight speech delay?
  • [ ] Still destroys things
  • [ ] Drawers on walls still
No amount of punishment works, no reward chart or incentive, I feel like she’s totally feral sometimes she will just destroy the house and ignore requests not to touch something or not to get certain toys or activities out.

It’s literally like having a small toddler, you have to keep your eye on her constantly or something is ruined or trashed. I’m sooooo tired

I would absolutely be exploring SEND diagnosis and issues.

Set up a meeting with the school and also with your GP. Be persistent.

Literally take this list with you. It’s so detailed.

Best of luck!
