OK - private nurseries in Part 4 of the statement

So we've had our first proposed statement back for DS (2.10) with mild/ moderate CP. It's not too bad, 3 sessions of LSA for now and 5 from Sept after he turns 3. No SALT provision but since the SALT specified what she wanted I think we can get it in. Thankfully (and amazingly!) we seem to have quite good SALT provision.
However - DS has just started (this week) at a montessori nursery. Do I put this in Part 4 as a named school? We are not expecting the fees to be paid but we do want the support! I have spoken to Parent Partnership but am still not clear, she seemed to indicate that they may reduce the level of support as it is a private nursery! I wasn't expecting that! Loads of children go to private nurseries, it's not quite like going to a private school - Does anyone else have a DC with a statement in a private nursery - is it named in part 4?
Any ideas anyone?
I have put through calls and emails to our case officer and am waiting (and waiting) for responses.....

I have been warned that if you go private they won't finance support - my DSD is now in private school, and LEA are proposing to take away her LSA (though my DH is going to fight it). You could try ringing the IPSEA helpline for the exact legal position, and if you get it into part 4 then that is legally binding. Sorry I can't be more help, and good luck.

Thanks, I've been told that before. I thought we may run into problems if we tried to go private for primary (we are no where near a decision about that though but want to know our options!) but I didn't expect it about a nursery. Don't know why though

Is the basic nursery place (from Sept onwards) funded via the free-early-education-sessions-for-over-three-year-olds? I think that may be key - if it's a gvmt funded place, then the LSA funding should be fine. If it's a truely private place where you pay for yourself w/o the gvmt funding, possibly issues? We had a slight fall through in that DS1's 1:1 (not on a statement) was funded for 2.5hr sessions and the nursery we used ran 3hr sessions, but made up the gap by slightly dodgily claiming for 5 sessions LSA when he only ever attended a max of 4.
Good luck.
