Hi. i need some help job hunting. am trying to find a job for my mum. she is 65 and very fit and would like to work part time with children or young peple with SEN or disabilities.

mum has very varied life experience- she is a qualified nurse, has experience of working with the elderly and in a children's home for diasbled chldren in africa, to name but a few of her experiences.

she has said that she might like to support a child 1:1 as a teaching assitant. but... she is a very creative, spiritual person, a bit of a hippy and quite a free spirit. i think that working in a school- esp a mainstream school, might be a bit too much of a structured, rigid environment for her, iykwim.

she has a real gift in that she is at ease with peole with profound SEN. i think she would be good at working children ith autism or downs syndrome- maybe in a school for SLD hildren.

but of course, am sure there are other places where she might be able to use he skills, oh than schools.

any ideas? we're in brighton, btw.

tia
