GFCF free to collector!

Hi, We've abandoned the GFCF diet for ds and I've got a cupboard full of stuff. Even if he goes back on it everything will be out of date and it's a shame to waste it (costs a fortune!).

If anyone in the Hove area wants it they are welcome. It's mostly flour, pasta and stuff like dairy-free custard.

It was mainly because it didn't seem to be making much difference. We did it as strictly as possible but if ds did get hold of something he shouldn't there was no obvious reaction. It was getting harder and harder to get him to eat anything at all (he's very skinny)and we were worried that it was beginning to do more harm than good. So, we reluctantly came to the conclusion that ds is one of those children that the diet doesn't help but felt that after nine months we had given it a fair chance.

It was quite hard actually to give it up after so much effort as it does take over your life a bit, but now I'm glad we did. Ds has got his appetite back and seems much happier, and my life is certainly easier! I must admit I was disappointed as my hopes were raised by all the 'success stories' about children suddenly learning to speak or being cured of bowel problems overnight, but at least having tried it I don't have to spend the rest of my life wondering if ds could have been one of those children.

There! a nice lot of waffle. That'll teach you to ask questions!
