(have ds3 at home as well & am alone so no chance) and he is SCREAMING the place down - keeps dropping various pairs of shoes on me and bringing me my rucksack.

He could keep this up for hours.

We are meant to be giving up alcohol for January. I am going to ring dh and tell him to bring some home.

do not give it up Yurt! Reckon we SEN mums all need something at the end of a day. Mine is 3 fags a night, keeps me sane! My boy similarly keeps going to the door and saying "wimmin" which means "can I go swimming"!

I DO sympathise! Despite having pretty good services round here, there is NOTHING this week. So that was potentially 10 days for DS with nothing to do, nowhere to go. We have managed by having some dreadful days, having visitors which seems to amuse him and just taking him out in the car. At least DH is home too.... but so is DD. By chance I found out that his usual Saturday club starts this weekend, hooray! Although he won't continue to go regularly they are happy to have him on occasional Sats.

dh has arrived home with a bottle of red. Thank god. There is nothing for ds1 here, nothing at all. It's crap. He screamed for ages, then took to sobbing whilst i put the washing machine back on for him. DS2 & ds3 are in school tomorrow (ds3's birthday!) so at least I can take ds1 somewhere.

Pleased to hear you've got the red handy!
I am ashamed to say that one of the Xmas presents I got for DS was a big bag of mini Playdohs. He adores Playdoh and it will keep him occupied and quiet..... but he also eats it!

Father Christmas bought ds bubbles for the same reason . They keep him amused but once you start he never wants to stop. I'm now heartily sick of blowing bubbles! I did manage to con dd into it for a while but she's now made her escape!

oh god he's hyper for not going out. Is now running up and down the stairs (has supposedly been in bed for over half an hour) repeatedly. I am sitting in the dark, drinking, ignoring it.
