Please help. What provisions can I ask for?

I have a phone call tomorrow with the paediatric consultant. It's part of the prep for the c production meeting to assesse him for an EHCP. He has ADHD but is very bright so it's taken us a while to get to this point as "he's managing to keep up academically". Anyway.
I was talking to the woman who phoned to book the call and said that I wasn't sure what to talk to the paediatrician about really as the sun off their involvement was just prescribing his medicine. She said well now might be a good chance to talk about other help you can get.

But I don't know what professional help will help him. I don't even know what's available. He struggles most with impulse control, organisation and friendships. His stimming can get very disruptive when he's struggling.

What professional help might be useful to him? The only thing I can think of is CBT.

Ask for referral to OT for the stimming and any other sensory issues, and SLT for social communication.

Is there any possibility he could also have ASD?

They're supposed to be re-evaluating for autism. He definitely has ASD traits, but not enough to obviously diagnose him. Eye contact is a big thing. Style of communication. Encyclopaedic knowledge of (useless) trivia.

Very hypo sensory in many ways, hyper sensory in others. He doesn't melt down in a classic fashion, more like his adhd amps up and he becomes very loud, very silly, very hyper and manic.

OT is a good shout for the sensory stuff. Thanks. My brain is just so fried at the moment.

If you've met one person with autism, you've met one person with autism as the saying goes.

Agreed! Just to clarify it was the child development centre who said they didn't think he showed enough traits to diagnose, but they're hopefully firing up the investigations again.
Thanks for the help. The paediatrician has made a bunch of additional notes on his case so fingers crossed it strengthens the assessment
