Weighted blanket?

Does anyone have any experience?
Ds recently diagnosed with adhd. Sleep is ok on the whole, compared to what some with adhd are like. We have a good routine. He goes to bed around 8, sometimes will sleep fairly quick but sometimes really struggles, for up to an hour. He doesn’t get up in this time but just gets frustrated that he feels restless. He also wakes during the night, usually comes and gets in my bed and goes straight back to sleep.
Are weighted blankets actually any good and are they safe?

They are safe but you must stick to the weight guidelines. The blanket must be no more than 10% of the bodyweight of the person using it. If you can borrow or hire one before you buy it would be a good idea, they are fairly expensive and some children don't like them.

That would be a good idea but I don’t think I know anyone that would have one

An occupational therapist maybe? Or try an internet search for hiring a weighted blanket. I think some sellers may allow you to try before you buy.

@CheersBoris
Weighted blankets are amazing my 2.5 year old has one he has a 2kg one he's quite a big lad the first day we got it he stayed under it for about an hour watching cocomelon Grinhis sleeping is terrible up for hours wandering in his room we've had to take everything out of his room cause he thinks he's Spider-Man but when we put him to bed with the blanket he seems to settle quite quick compared to before he had it Xx
