it explains the paeds actions to his boss the consultant who dx,d the presence of ASD in dd a year ago but wanted time to clarify her dx.

we are asking her to clarify the following:

is her colleague now telling us that her findings of a year ago are incorrect as you have to have the presence of an ASD in a school setting to have a dx,-there were no school reports when you did your asessment of R a year ago.

is the CDC of the opinion that we as dd,s parents are "fabricating her symptoms" because they dont match the opinion of the Ed psych?

IS there a miracle cure that her colleague has that can cure a child of an ASD in 2 days?

we have said we contacted the NAS and they were shocked because they had not heard of a paed dx,ing and retracting 2 days later and they have advised us to write to you to ask you to clarify our daughters dx,

and that if this situation is not resolved we are prepared to take the matter further.

so we shall wait and see what happens.

Jenk, add that you expect to receive a reply within a fortnight. Or a week if you want.

Good luck Jenk.
I hope it works out for you.
I am kind of going through the same kind of thing at the moment, also involving the cdc. They have sent me a report that states that my ds shows all signs of an asd, but that 'his mother no longer thinks that her child is asd' ABSOLUTE BS. I have never said anything of the sort! The paed hasn't even spoken to me since he got back from holiday!

They must be preparing to retract on my ds's dx too.
At least I know what to do now. Not tha tI want you to have to face this, iykwim
HUGS! x

Good luck with it . Since some diagnoses are given before the child has started school, surely the "must be evident in a school setting" can't apply? Perhaps what they meant is "the child must be observed with children of a similar age".
