Making decant by council

We live ( 1 adult two kids) in massive two bed conversation with large garden and have decorated it to High standard
However due to major repairs that will happen at the property we are made decant for 6-12 month by Camden council.
I been given two options

  1. go temporary and move back in ( council will sort it all out)
  2. accept a new property ( a 3 bed now as my Disabled son is eligible for his own bedroom now.

However my housing officer cannot guarantee she will offer me something similar to what I have ie might be no garden or separate toilet that we have now.
What consists a " reasonable offer"
Can't see to find info anywhere.
I am so worried as don't wanna move twice but worried that if accept new tenancy we could be much more worse of then now

Any avenge would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

A reasonable offer is a habitable property of an appropriate size that meets any specific needs you have. If you do not need (different to want) a garden or separate toilet then it isn't unreasonable to offer a property without them. However, if you push they may agree, but don't have to. Does DS need a garden or separate toilet?

Hi
Yes needs garden due to using trampling every day to self regulate also has a sensory room ( shed in garden)
Chronic constipation so would require separate toilet not additional one just a separate one just as we do now
I'm sure the ot can write a report on his needs as all aware

You will need medical evidence to prove DS needs a garden and separate toilet. An OT report may not be enough. I am not sure either are going to be accepted if I'm honest. Usually the bar is very high. It's also unlikely temporary accommodation would have them either.

If you don't end up with a garden you can get indoor trampolines, we have one that is used for physio.

I will speak to my housing officer whatever medical proof they need I will get them as my son uses garden daily and has complex needs
