"Oh wait till there older, its gets much harder"

aggggggggggggghh I could scream at them

Its bad enough saying it to any parent but why say it to one of a child with special needs, who is shattered, has a hard time coping, lack of sleep, stress, DD has been very ill/hospital stays in her 6 years etc etc

so why feel the need to tell me it will only get harder as they get older ???????

I have this said to me a few times now and am close to turning round and saying "How"? then reeling off how hard it is now!!!!

They are not being horrible I know, but I still wish they would shut up

I think sometimes people should try thinking before they speak

good grief, why don't they just shout 'we're all gonna die..' and be done with it!

Lol

I remember when mine were a few months old (twins) and we were pushing them round the park

this is before Ellie had SN

and a couple went past with twins who were about 10months and the parents yelled "It gets much much harder"

Er .....thanks!!!!

Well I can certainly say in my son's case, they're wrong! He's much easier to look after at 15 than he was when he was little.
