Does anyone want 4 pairs of training pants (boys medium)

Like these ones sold by ERIC - here.

Two pairs are blue and two pairs are white with a pattern - I am afraid that the white ones are bit stained though they are clean .

They fitted Ds2 when he was about 4-5 years and they really do hold the wee like a nappy so they are good if you are training your child but need a bit of insurance when you are going out somewhere where it won't do to wee on the carpet .

I know they don't sound that attractive but I thought they might be useful to anyone attempting potty training with a special needs child as they are quite expensive to buy. I will happy send them free of charge to anyone who can use them.

Bumping this up just in case anyone can use them - it seems really wasteful to throw them away...

Well you are an ungrateful lot - I thought you'd all be queueing up for some stained training pants .

I'd have them, but I think they may be too small for DS2, who's now over 5. The only ones I've got are from Mothercare and very crackly - can't see DS2 keeping them on for more than 30 secs! Dh said they reminded him of pregnancy pants .

I think I might use disposable training pants, ungreen though it is....

See, I'm grateful

I don't need them but I'd be grateful if I did

Sphil, I don't mind sending them to you if you want to try them - Ds2 is quite big and they fitted him comfortably aged 5 when he wouldn't fit into any of the pampers pull-ups or disposable training pants so they might be okay. They do feel quite bulky though especially under trousers. However honestly don't feel obliged if you don't want to bother. I can survive the ingratitude .

The other thing I have which is a bit crazy is this musical sensor that plays a tune when it is wet. Some company that make a musical potty in US will sell the sensor separately since someone told them it helped them train their ASD child. I think the idea is that you put it in the pants or nappy and when the child is wet it plays a tune so they realise they have done a wee. I can't say I really used it much in the end but I had great intentions. I think it would be useful for a child that had little awareness of when they were going. I don't know if it would be any use or might be confusing mixed with the ABA approach but you (or anyone else) is welcome to it if you think it might help.

Today's the big day isn't it - how's it going?

OK Saker - DS2 is average size so they probably will fit him. Thanks! Have you still got my e-mail address? Ours got wiped when we moved so don't think I've still got yours.
Is your DS2 toilet trained now?

Today proved that DS2 does not yet make the connection between weeing and the loo!

I have and I will email you for your new address. Hooray! someone wants them They will save your carpet because they are remarkably absorbent - honest.

Ds2 is half toilet trained. He is pretty reliable with wees and even dry at night (actually he is most reliable at night), but still often poos in his pants although we are slowly progressing in that he now tells us he wants to go. We rush him to the toilet. Sits there for 5min. Gets fed up and gets off. Goes into the next room and appears 2min later saying "I've done a poo in my pants."

So have hope - I still can't believe that Ds2 has even got this far - he was the least aware child ever. He would stand there happily in soaking wet pants without appearing to notice. Sometimes he would paddle in the puddle. Then one day he just got it. The school were very supportive also which helped.

Anyway will email you, but tomorrow because must go to bed.
