I am copying this from an old thread from 2012 with lots of people with children with Dyspraxia, ADD and the like visiting it. I am interested to hear from others who have gone here or are currently attending and their experiences please?

From Indigobell thread of 2012 explaining some about the programme
An awful lot of us are now doing Tinsley House, either by going there, or by following the recommendations in The Brain Food Plan

So this is just a general support (and hopefully good news) thread.

Stage 1 of the TH therapy consists of:

  1. Multivitamins

* Omega
* Zinc & Magnesium
* Multivitamin

  1. Healthy eating diet

* High protein, low sugar, no artificial sweeteners, additives etc.

  1. Specific exercises done 3 times a day

Hi Alg08,

We are thinking of going to TH shortly but have been doing the programme for about a month after reading the book: “The Brain Food Plan”.
What we have done is the vitamin supplements and diet (high protein and no junk food, wholemeal carbs and moved to organic where possible).
Omega Vegepa
Floradix Kindervitel
Floradix Saludynam

We have been doing the stair exercises and teeth brushing (left hand standing on left leg).
Looking to go to TH in September after the summer holidays.
My DS is 6 years old with mildish ADHD symptoms but finds it really hard to write and stay focus in school.
I will post any progress on how he is getting on; it has been only 4 weeks but hope his hyperactivity and impulsivity and attention will improve.
I have noticed some subtle changes, he is much better at eating, before it was impossible for him to sit down and finish his meals but now eats everything without to much stress!

Just writing an update in the hope someone else is following the treatment. We have been doing Tinsley House and we are in the 4 months mark, we had noticed some improvements but suddenly 2 weeks ago we have hit a regression. I have read in other posts that people experienced similar things and hoping that this is just a temporary blip.

So sorry Ithaca15 I have been out of the loop and have just seen this. How are things now? Life got in the way so we took a hiatus but are now getting back to things so will keep you updated.

Hi Alg08,

We have been following the Tinsley House programme for about 8 months now, it has been a long process and are only just finishing up with the vision therapy (hopefully just a few weeks left and then we will be done with it!). The vision therapy has been hard but glad it's over. I have seen improvements but it's a slow process. However, when I look back to eight months ago I think we are in a much better position. Hopefully next month we will be starting the exercises for focus and attention and I hope to see more benefits. Where are you up to on the programme?

We are starting today so I'd be really keen to keep in touch and share experiences as we go along. My child is older and in Y5. He struggles with handwriting, Literacy, some adhd traits ie constant fidgeting, Lack of focus etc. No social issues and no behavioural issues (aside from lack of focus).

Hi Lndnmummy, your child sounds a lot like mine with focus and handwriting being our biggest problem. He is also very fidgety and needs constant movement breaks at school. We have been doing Tinsley House for just over 11 months. You need to be patient with it, I did find that the diet really helped. We are in a much better place compared to a year ago but he is also maturing although handwriting is still very messy.

Re Tinsley House Clinic, my son had a break down in his vision, convergent squint to the point he could no longer read, was failing his A levels and was suicidal, cue Tinsley House, which cured him.

He now writes software for a living.
