Cry in a good way - for once.

Today as I was leaving from dropping dd1 off at kindergarten - another mum and her daughter approached me. Lovely family - but I digress - mum said the little one had something to ask me.

So I crouched down to be asked by a little girl

Could dd1 please come to my house to play?

I was so stunned - dd1's first invitation to play at someone else's house - someone other than a family friend.

I said yes and we decided to sort out a day.

I got in the car and as I drove away - tears fell down my face.

Angels such as these seem so few and far between at the moment.

oh I have to share this.... I asked her last night if she would like to go and play at x's house. ( forgetting my rule of not telling her until just before the event)

She pointed to her toy hand bag and told me she was putting it on the lounge - and I said OK.

She then told me using sign and words with the biggest smile on her face:

car

x

house

play.

Then a big nod and she ran off to the back door to get to the car.

She was not impressed ( but surprisingly no melt down) when I said no we were going to get dad and she would go to x's house later!!

She was so excited.

I hope she has a wonderful time, and I'm so happy for her.
