Dd (8) has AS, Adhd and dyspraxia (dx recently by OT). Anyway the OT went in and has given the school a list of things to do. One of them being an OT type brain gym to do at school everyday. School have said they can do it on a Monday and I can do at home rest of the week. Ot not happy as said the program was designed to be specifically for school and as if we don't have enough to do with 2x15 mins listening program and Bibic stuff as well as the normal homework and not forgetting I have ds as well.
The OT actually painted a very bleak picture of how dd is coping and the school were not happy saying that dd isn't usually like she was and that it was probably an off day.
It's so worrying because if what the OT saw does happen everyday then I am seriously concerned but who do I believe?

I'd have words with the SENCO as soon as possible. Small wonder the OT is upset, this programme is designed to be done at school!.

Has the SENCO there heard of Gymtrail?. I would ask about this. Can the SENCO not incorporate this into a "Gymtrail" type programme which is done before school. This is basically a series of 5 minute fine and gross motor skills activities. DS along with a few other children does a session like this 4 days a week at school before school starts.

On a wider level is there a Statement of special needs in place for your daughter?. If not, I would seriously look into applying for such a document for her to have.

Yes she has a statement and is in a language unit. Just feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall

What is their -excuse- reason for not doing it every day?

I think it can be hard to get an accurate picture from just one visit but presumably the OT has enough experience to have factored this in?

That of course should have been:

excuse reason
