Hi!
I have epilepsy and autism.
I am due my first baby in a month.
I'm trying to find out if I can access support/grants/assistance once baby is here as worried I won't cope.
I need a lot of sleep as have seizures if sleep deprived, I am unable to work at the moment so rely on my partners income which isn't much.
Hesitant to contact social services just yet.
Can anyone advise? Thanks!

Do you get PIP?

@vjg13

Do you get PIP?
I'm in the process of filling in the form but sceptical that I will qualify for anything

This is a really helpful website www.benefitsandwork.co.uk for completing PIP forms, if you join as a member you can use the guides which are excellent. Be prepared to appeal the decision if you think it is incorrect.

Have you heard of Home-Start? worth contacting to see if they can offer practical support when your baby arrives.

Hi, if you're comfortable with computers, you can also run a benefits checks
www.entitledto.co.uk/
The midwife may have also mentioned:
www.gov.uk/sure-start-maternity-grant

I hope it all goes well, oh and congratulations
