went to dd's parents evening. the head of care came up to me and told me how wonderful dd had been to day.
Not easy for dd. it was a presentation of a bench by her dear freinds parents in his memeory/ I was told how she was so good and "talked" to everyone and how her and sam made the whole thing "easier"
then the S'A'L'T told me how she was doing really well.
Then teach told me how dd "said" in a class about feelings. that she was frustrated as another child was taking up to much attention and she was missing out. she put it so well said boy said sorry. Teacher was very pleased with her.

Well done to dd. She sounds like a real star.

katepol · 19/10/2007 13:57

I don't know your dd 2shoes, but you sound very proud of her today, so well done to her. Our children can make us mad but also make our hearts burst sometimes.

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 19/10/2007 19:05

i think we need a proud emotion

She sounds wonderful. You have every right to be proud.

PandaG · 19/10/2007 19:09

how fab 2shoes. I don't know your DD either, but I can sense the pride with which you write about her.

pagwatch · 19/10/2007 19:10

fantabulous ! well done !

TotalChaos · 19/10/2007 20:40

sorry you are feeling a bit marginalised 2shoes - I think sometimes people don't want to reply if they feel they don't have knowledge of the problem - but then one can lose sight of the fact that it can be a comfort to be told - dunno but that sounds a bit shit, sorry you are going through it. eg. if you post something about physio, my instinctive reactions is to think oh god, dunno much about that really, leave that to the experts so to speak, I imagine other people do that too, that it's not deliberately not replying, more lack of confidence iyswim.

twoisplenty · 19/10/2007 22:06

It is such a good feeling when a teacher tells you wonderful news about your child, so congrats! We need a cheesy grin emoticon as I can imagine that's what were doing all day!!

alycat · 19/10/2007 22:18

What a star!

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 19/10/2007 22:22

TotalChaos i had a really big problem and still do have, I was hoping to get input as I fet people who deal with behaiviour problems on a day to day basis might have been able to give me some advice. sadly most people just see ..cp...phisio...and that is it. so sorry can't waste the time..

But we all understand being proud

Just read your OP and very pleased for your dd and you that she did so well . I'm afraid that sounds very patronising but it's not meant to be, just don't know how to word it properly.

xamyx · 20/10/2007 00:57
