Acetabular Angle In Hips

I got a letter that said DD's X-ray showed her "acetabular angle is above the normal range" "but she does not have hip dysplasia". I've Googled but it just comes up with hip dysplasia articles. Does anyone know what this means? Is hip dysplasia a certain range and she's over the 'normal' range but not into the one for HD? Or perhaps it's just linked to her others issues?

For background she is 2.5yrs, just learning to walk at the moment (she has a frame and is taking steps inside), she has hypermobility, femoral anteversion and tibial torsion.

We saw the consultant about this, it turns out this hip angle was just over the normal range and they're not concerned about it, it would be a much greater angle for a hip dysplasia diagnosis.

DS has a larger than usual range of movement in his hips, it means that his natural resting point means that he walking mrs inwards, pidgin toed. OT has given him exercises to help, but he’s a lazy bum and it’s torture getting him to do them!

Hi raffle, my DD has the exact same in terms of a huge range of movement in her hips, her feet are OK but we've had to do lots of practice in other ways with getting her to actually start walking and she was very resistant, so I feel your pain! She's walking all the time now at 2 yrs 8 months.
