Opinion on SEN provision in Bath comprehensives?

My daughter is a very bright dyslexic, dyscalculic, dsypraxic with some sensory processing, working memory, executive function issues and OKish social skills. Recently she received a draft EHCP and is currently in a dyslexia specialist primary. She is due to go to secondary in Sept 21 and the council is of the opinion that any of the mainstream comprehensives would be fine and have dismissed the idea of a dyslexia specialist secondary. Does anyone have any personal experience of how SEN is actually dealt with at any of these schools? Thanks in advance.

There was a more general thread on Bath schools recently where St Marks was mentioned more than once as having a good SEN reputation.

They would say that wouldn't they? Hmm That's the cheapest option for them which is all they're bothered about.

I would investigate all the possible schools yourself and make your own decision which will be best for her, and then ask for that school to be named on her plan.

It may be difficult if they are not allowing visits, but if you look at the websites, ring up and talk to the SENCO, you will get a good idea.

And just so you know, under SEND Regulation 18, the LA has a statutory duty to issue the Final EHCP naming the secondary school at the latest, by 15th February next year.
