Desperate to take the boys on holiday

Hi, I get very very stressed and fearful trying to book wheelchair accessible holidays. The times I've done it have been unbelievably hard. I'm on my own and people in the travel industry just don't seem to understand that we cannot manage ANY steps, I need to be able to move a wheelchair around the bedroom, the coach needs to wait a few minutes and NOT leave us stranded at the airport while we're waiting to collect mobility stuff from large luggage etc etc. Etc . I've had such terrible experiences so much so I haven't dared taken them away for SEVEN years.

They really need a break, the 15 year old is very depressed and struggling with his disabilities right now, they share a room, all help and support (not that we had much) disappeared in the pandemic, school closed.. you know... Anyway I have finally managed to find a carer who will come away with us hooray, have saved some money to pay for carer (extra £100 a day wage, plus flight, plus accommodation plus food), and I have a bit of time off work so I'm DESPERATE to find a week away somewhere, bloody anywhere. My 15 year old boy uses a powerchair. We need a fun break with a good pool area, preferably all-inclusive. I'm a single parent and a nursing student so don't have much money so cheap and cheerful. Good pool area (dare I hope for a hoist??) maybe a bit of evening entertainment - fitness centre for me would be perfect - just a tatty old running machine and a set of dumbbells would be better than nothing so I can kick start my regime.

Really can't afford to fuck this up for them. Please can anyone suggest anywhere????

I live in hope. Love to you all families with disabilities xxx

Anyone with any ideas? I just tried aero camps in Duniell, Holland because our friends will be there but all their cabins have a few steps up. I've asked if they can provide a ramp but haven't heard back yet

In the Uk, www.thethomascentre.co.uk we have been many times. Accessible properties, book a private session in the indoor pool, small gym.
