Has anyone experience of having power of attorney for their adult child. Ds1 has learning disabilities, is 18 and I am his DWP appointee for his PIP, but I don't know if I need to have power of attorney too? His PIP is paid to my bank account as his appointee and he doesn't have a bank account. He has been offered a part time supported job (we're all thrilled) and his wages will have to be paid to me too...this all feels wrong, but he has no understanding of money etc obviously I'll support him to spend them on himself. I have no idea if the need will arise for me to have POA. We have made special provision for him in our will. I've looked at the gov.uk site and scope, but still no clearer.
