Does your DS get any support at school to help with his anxiety?

not selfish at all. I have moments Like that. when I have to watch out for both dd and dh and their epilepsy.

Thanks (sorry not here last night -- it needed dealing with). Yes, we're very lucky with his school support. It's just been so nice NOT to have the paranoia for a while, and we'd started to get used to 'normal' life.

Now feeling extra guilty as I had to leave in a hurry and left the screen on for poor husband to see when he came in to research replacement video players.

Oh dear. OCD is a bugger both to the person who has it and for those around him. (from the perspective of a hopefully ex-sufferer). Hope that you can access some appropriate psychological support for him. Otherwise there is good information geared towards young adults with OCD on the Maudsley website that he or you might find useful.

I've called his psych this morning. She sighed and said (nicely!) 'Typical -- I was just writing up his case as successfully closed', but she'll try to see him soon.

It's good just to be able to sound off about it -- doesn't fit in with the school gate chat, somehow.

Puss, going of at a tangent, have you thought about DVD recorder/player?

DS wears out videos and players (God Bless out local shop who rent us our video player, engineer has an AS brother and knows what we are going through!) so we rent a dvd recorder and have copied as many videos as we can onto it for his own use. We then made back ups onto 'Ram' discs just in case the hard drive fails.

One happy DS, can fast forward and rewind to hearts content for a grand total of £10 per month!!

Oh Puss, its not selfish sometimes you just feel like you you don't want to cope! I know i do.
