Dd seems very intense over it and it seems to be creating more problems really!

Timetables don’t work in this house. We have set mealtimes and bedtime though getting up is dictated by what time ds wakes (currently 4:30!). Apart from that nothing else is done at set times. He doesn’t get anxious about it though, he will just refuse to do something if he doesn’t feel like it.

When he’s at school there’s more rhythm to the day.

We have found that. School has set a specific timetable of 5 lessons a day and she will not deviate. I've told her she doesn't have to stick to the order they've said but she is adamant. So she'll stop mid-flow because it's time for a different lesson, instead of getting to a natural end.

I'm WFH and she'll suddenly appear at my elbow to tell me it's 12 so it's lunchtime, and refuses to understand that I'm in the middle of something and will stop when I'm ready.
