Sorry if this is all over the place I wasn't going to ask for help but with this lockdown I've had a lot on my mind.

My son is 5 years and 0 months. Hes always been "behind" didn't crawl on all fours, didn't walk till he was 2 he was very wobble on his feet. (just like a baby aminal trying to find their feet) Age 2 he was diagnose GDD and age 3 and a half he was diagnose with a mild form off cerebral palsy with the help off smo (feet braces) he is more steady on his feet. Still struggle with balance at times.

Now at 5 the school are pushing for a autism diagnosis done atm he is in a mainstream school which has a special needs classroom inside it. He did attend nursery before this but nothing was said. I'd list his "problems" although I've thought all off this is part off GDD.

  • speak is very basic (two-word sentences) but can sign.
  • isn't potty trained although I'm currently trying to work on this.
  • very picky eater won't eat any kinda dry, crunchy foods so crisp, chocolates, ect is a big no. Will eat things like yoghurts, soups ect.
  • sleep what is sleep! Still wakes up 2 to 3 times a night for a drink.
  • loves water and mess. If there is a puddle outside he would lay in it.
  • doesn't really cry when he falls over or hurt himself.
  • has no fear will climb and run away.
  • tantrums are wild there is no reasoning with him even when offered something he wanted which set the tantrum can be very aggressive toward others and hurt himself.
  • small for his ages still in size 3 to 4 year clothes.
  • doesn't like busy places
  • can't walk very far
  • doesn't really play with others at home he will snatch toys or doesn't understand what they are playing.
  • loves rough and tumble play

I'm sure there is other things about him that I could list.

Hi, its good to always check- thats kind of my rule ;-) it can be that all you list its outcome of other challanges he had/has and if school is raising it you will get help with assessment support regardless of an outcome :-) are you worried?

Thank you! I guess I've always hoped he would catch up with children his own age.
