How long should these appointments take to come through? Should I be chasing them up?

My DS was seen by a pead in May, and has been referred to a OT, speach therapist & child psychologist.
I have filled out a form I was sent regarding the OT, but that was a couple of months back & I have heard absolutely nothing since.
I go back to see the pead in December, and she was telling me that all should be complete by then, but I have heard nothing at all since May.

How long do these things normally take? Is it worth me chasing the appointments up, or is it normal to have quite a wait before you see anyone?

I am just getting so worried about him going up to the juniors in two weeks time.

Looked the hospital up, and the only means of contact they give you is their address & phone number.
Best I just keep ringing!

Did you look at the page for the actual department?

Would the main switchboard be able to give you an e mail address, I wonder?

No harm in sending a v brief letter saying 'I'm trying to contact you re...' - if you posted it 1st class today, it might get there before you get through on the phone!

They don't appear to have their own website, there is just a page that gives you contact details for the hospital, but it is just the address & phone number. There is no details of a website on the letters I have received from them either.

Apparantly the secretary is in until 5pm today, so I will keep trying to get through!

I have tried every 10 minutes or so, and had no success - maybe they got it wrong & she is not in today.
I have managed to leave a message on an answerphone to ask someone to get back to me though.

pc, have been away for 2 days (Evalina hosp) I thought you would have your answeres by now, not for want of trying I see - keep at it, although now you have left a message someone should call you back.

I've been out this morning, so phoned secretary again when I got back, and this time got through!
She is getting his notes sorted from the file & is going to ring me straight back.

She got back to me to say she now has all DS's notes & is going to make phone calls to chase everything up tomorrow!

She said she will try & get back to me today.

I've not heard anything back yet, but hopefully she has done some chasing as promised.
