Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

I need some fresh ideas on storing objects of reference. Do any of you people use them?

Am a salt (as many of you know) and until now we have hung stuff on little hooks which works well if the o/r is something you can drill into.

I'm thinking now of a long row of single cubbyholes to put stuff in.Been googling and following usual avenues with no luck.

Maybe something that a diy enthusiast would use or a joiner?

Anyone?

OOh yes, have used them in past.
Will check it out again.
Often huge waiting list though and I am in a hurry.
I can design what I want but probably some tedious H&S thing in place to veto it.

Thank you

We used teenyweeny drawers that I think are used to store screws etc (very small). Ikea also do those rather larger wood drawers in a line (to be painted by purchaser, yeah right). Can't think of anything else...

Yes Davros, was thinking of somethnig along those lines....need to go and cruise DIY shops now.

Alternatively have found some great hanging organisers in Lakeland catalogue which may do the trick.

How big are the things you need to store. For flat items (ie PECS cards!) I have a plastic box plus plastic wallets that fit inside alphabetically aranged. I got both from staples. Really small.

Biggest thing is a ballpool ball so need to be fairly large-larger than something for PECS pics anyway.
The Lakeland thing is a shoe holder so that might work.

How about those shoe holder things that hang from rails? I bought a bunch from the pier or something years ago. IKEA great for storage if you're anywhere near one.

Yes,that sort of thing.Ideally size of half a shoe.

Nearest IKEA is a good two hours away and requires nerves of steel.

It's either Lakeland or gentle persuasion of our rehab chaps who produce/adjust aids and so on.
