My child has been excluded twice and if it happens again he will be put on a PSP can anyone tell me what this actually means please. He has a ECHP and dx of ASD in mainstream school. I’m just not sure what this means or where it leads.

In our area a PSP is a pastoral support plan. I have no personal experience but if it is the same thing here is the webpage

.If your child has an EHCP and there are issues in school which result in him being excluded it suggests the plan is not fit for purpose and needs urgent review. Do you think he has the right level of support in school? Do you feel this is the right school for him?

When you say your child has been excluded were these formal exclusions? Children with autism are at higher risk of exclusion than their peers and schools will often exclude without considering what other support can be put in place first.
